Struttura Ricettiva - Castiglione Del Lago Perugia

Redeveloping a historic building for hospitality use, transforming it into a sophisticated standard-setting hotel in the historical centre of Castiglione del Lago: this was the objective of the owners who decided on this restyling, to make the facility perfect for hosting increasingly demanding tourists.

The project was refined and elegant in every detail; starting with the Italian herringbone parquet flooring, in a pattern that fully met the architectural requirements that the history of the building and its structure demanded.

The hotel’s name is in fact a tribute to Vittoria Aganoor Pompilij , the greatest Umbrian poetess of the early 20th century, who lived in Castiglione del Lago together with her husband Guido Pompilij, a well-known man of letters.

PROJECT DATA SHEET

Several of the hotel’s rooms and of all the common areas were renovated, using the highest quality and finish materials. In detail, the work involved:

  • Renovating the en-suite bathrooms, focusing on modern and highly customised sanitary ware; attractive finishes and colours of wall coverings that blend well, albeit in their contemporary style, with the more traditional rooms.
  • Laying parquet to convey refinement and warmth in the rooms.
  • New light and bright wall paint and new wallpapers in the same refined tones give more light to the rooms.
  • New fixtures in keeping with the warm colours of the parquet flooring and furniture in each room.
